Saturday we also enjoyed a couple innings of the Lewistown Redbirds baseball team playing the Gallatin Valley Outlaws. Double header that Gallatin won the first game 14 - 3 - ten run rule ended it in the 5th inning.
We ran some errands and then came back to the second game and Lewistown won it 11 - 1 , ten run rule again in the 5th inning. We don't have a long enough season for the high school to have baseball, so the city had this American Legion team - and they usually do pretty well. Games are broadcast on the local radio station so you can listen as you drive around town and the stop by the field - no charge - to watch and enjoy.

Special Olympics
Saturday we attended the Special Olympics breakfast at the Moose Hall downtown. It was all you can eat and we were happy to donate to such a great cause. Later in the day there was equestrain (sp) competition at the fairgrounds.
It was interesting to see the horses and athletes compete in the different patterns.

Gwen helping Ashlyn (Cody's little three year old) - she had a great time. We are decorating cookies to take to lonely neighbors. We even sang: We wish you a Happy Weekend, and magic all year!
More decorating of cookies - hearts, flowers, butterflies - wonderful sprinkles.
Getting ready to deliver the goodies. Most of us walked around the neighborhood, Uncle John drove to some others in the ward with the oldest fairies who didn't need car seats.

Each small fairy choose a special Fairy Name - and were assigned a Fairy Sister - oldest helped the youngest. The older cousins were a big help - Maddie and Savanna Smith, Gwen Mitchell, and Savanah Mitchell.
Aunt Sue explained the Fairy Law is in three parts: 1. Be kind to others and yourself, 2. Take care of the wonderful world we live in, 3. Look for magic in everything you see and everyone you meet.

Gethsemane Song
Here is a copy of the Church Program listing the Hardy kids and their song - plus the two boys who also sang. They did so well! and the song is beautiful - written by Melanie and Roger Hoffman. Here are the words:
Jesus climbed the hill to the garden still. His steps were heavy and slow. Love and a prayer took Him there To the place only He could go.
Chorus: Gethsemane, Jesus loves me...So He went willingly - To Gethsemane.
He felt all that was sad, wicked or bad All the pain we would ever know While His friends were asleep He fought to keep His promise made long ago.
Gethsemane, Jesus loves me.. So He went willingly - To Gethsemane.
The hardest thing that ever was done, The greatest pain that ever was known, The biggest battle that ever was won, This was done by Jesus. The fight was won by Jesus.
Jesus loves me .. So He gave His gift to me in Gethsemane.
Gethsemane. Jesus loves me. So He gives His gift to me ..From Gethsemane.
Isn't that just beautiful? plus to have four dear grandchildren sing it in Sacrament meeting - priceless! Made me cry with joy and happiness - what a great way to celebrate Easter and the Atonement and Resurrection.

Yard Work
We all helped to get the yard weeded so when the load of mulch came we could put it down.
It was nice to have two more adults involved with all the yard work needing to be done. The kids helped quite a bit also.
When the dump truck dumped the mulch the kids played in it for a little bit - got very dirty feet!
We worked hard to get it in the wheelbarrow and shoveled and raked around the bushes and flowers.

Yay Grace! When they played a 'game' at the end of practice - both girls were goalie's - one at each end of the field...Grace got much more action than did Sophie - it was fun to watch soccer again.
