Downtown Deer - Bucks

I was driving downtown last week on a side street - there were three small bucks just eating on people's bushes.
I stopped the car and got out the camera and they didn't care a bit!
When another car came from the other way they decided to run for it!

Back yard Tree

The tree in our back yard looked so pretty last Sunday coming home from General Conference - I got out the camera and took a picture of it! from the back and the front.

So we had freezing nights and light winds and this is the tree a week later!  Fall is upon us!
Two school age boys that live next door came over and played in our leaves - throwing them at each other, etc.  We loved hearing them laugh.

Pheasant Hunt - Quilting

Stan and Dad with the pheasant - Saturday October 12, 2013
More of the same - two good looking men and one beautiful bird!
Riddick the wonder dog joined them for the photo.
Julie busy sewing - Riddick helping!  Actually he laid down on the fabric when we had it on the floor.
Quilting the crib sized quilt - fun day!

Auction

There was an estate auction at the fairgrounds Friday and Saturday.  The paper listed over 30 guns so Dad wanted to go out and check them out.
Can you believe one person had all these guns, wait - yes you can, I think some of our family members have this many - no name but his initials are Sam Smith!!  (Robert Kirby saying!)  Shobe Auction online - go other and see if you want us to attend the auction and what high price you want to pay for anything they list.

Flowers and Snow

We had a weather forecast for snow and cold so I toke one last picture of our pretty flowers in the front flower beds.  - notice the Halloween decorations on the old pump!
So pretty - I also picked a bouquet for the kitchen table... looks and smells good!
Here's the snow on the flowers - now they are all brown and will be recycled on FHE this week.
I subbed at a 5th grade class on Thursday and Friday - the kids were happy about the snow at recess - but all had wet feet - in winter all the kids have boots...but only a couple brought them on Friday.
They took their wet shoes off and placed them on the heater to get them dry!!  They went to library in their stocking feet - I checked before with the librarian and it was okay!

Salmon from Sam

Sam brought us a box of smoked salmon from AK when he came to Utah - thanks so much son!
This recipe was in the box and sounded good - so we made it for dinner one night last week.
Oh my!  It was delicious - course it began with a half cup of butter and a cup of sour cream!  soooo good, and we ate it for three meals - thanks again Sam for thinking of us.
