Lewistown

This is the Fergus County Courthouse - sign on the front door says: "No weapons allowed in the building".
No metal detector - no police - so different from LA!!
Here is our City Library - original Carnegie built in 1905 - new wings added and really nice and friendly.  The application for our library cards were two 3 x 5 index cards - wanted our names, address, and phone!
No proof of residency, no credit application, no utility bills - love it!!
The pretty plant the Pikes sent for a Homecoming gift - the small gas fireplace thing that we don't know how to turn on - notice the meat hooks on a rail above the bricks - Julie and I were wondering what to use them for:  Dad said he'd go down town and buy a ham and hang it!  Julie said to hang our Christmas stockings frm them and when we got the Thanksgiving decorations out it seemed a good place to hang some of them.  Most  of the other rooms have boxes still be be unpacked so I'll send more pictures later.

Driving to Montana

This is on the road between Bozeman and Lewistown - really Big Sky Country!
Stan and Julie came up to help with unloading the U-Haul - loved having them! - Riddick enjoyed it also.
Our house the weekend we moved in - - Montana had record warm weather!
The weekend after we moved in!! Record snow for this date!!  It is fun to shovel it - that might change soon.

Halloween 2012

Here is Harry Potter - alais Isaac Kroeber!  He had lots of fun and the dark hair was strange on him.
Eli was Woldermort (sp) and Keenyn a Mummy - loved sharing their fun on Halloween.
Chris Williams came over and loaded the U-Haul all day!!  Chris Kroeber helped with the last, heaviest things - so wonderful to have handsom, strong, son-in-laws!
Cute Pizza Heather served for dinner on Halloween - happy day to all!

Wheeler Farms

Wednesday afternoon we drove to Wheeler Farms to meet Em and Lindsey and children.  Derrell and LaNore and Ryan with four boys came a little later - oh also Sterling, Ben's daughter.
We were standing on the sidewalk talking, Ben Pike rode his bike to Draper and then back to meet up with us - Ryan thought he was a random stranger just waiting for us to get out of his way so he could continue his bike ride - pretty funny at the time.
We had a nice pizza dinner - thanks Grandpa!  Dan came over after work also.
Olivia and Tal loved all the play equipment - we loved watching them have so much fun - they are great cousins and friends.
Sadie wasn't too sure about the ducks and geese - we kept her safe!
Baden was his happy self - when eating or drinking!  He would climb up the play thing without us noticing - what a great job!  Just as we were leaving, Derrell and LaNore noticed Sterling didn't have her glasses - so we searched in the dark - a family who were just leaving also helped us - and that man found the glasses! Helped that he had a flashlight to shine off the lenses!  Thanks strangers, for your kindness to us.

Old Boss

We went to Lowe's to pick up some rope for the move and found Howard and Sharon Gray there - their fridge had died after many years and they were picking out a new one.  Howard was the Dept. Chair when Harold fist came to BYU to work in 1989... that makes him our old boss!
The Grays are retiring after December and want to serve a mission!  We were very encouraging of those plans.

Monkey's Jumping on the Bed

It has been delightful to be in Provo living at the Kroeber's house.  We sure will miss Eli, Isaac and Keenyn.
Isaac and Keenyn were jumpiing on our bed and I was singing: Two little monkey's jumping on the bed, Momma called the doctor and the doctor said: No more monkeys jumping on the bed!!
So much fun!  One time, when Harold came home from work, he could hear the box springs being jumped on and as he came into the bedroom he said: No jumping on the bed - then he noticed I was jumping with the kids and he just said - okay!

Twin Brother Derrell

On Tuesday October 30, Derrell and LaNore finally made it down from Anchorage, AK.  Here are a few pictures of our too short visit!  We went out to lunch with Craig and Colleen, then Clay, Brancy and Ryan came - Polly also - great time.

Polly, Brandy, Clay and baby Ryan Matthew - sweet baby!
