Fergus County Courthouse
When I went to the County Health Dept. for a TB test - needed for both the Yellowstone Ranch job and to Substitute teach - They had these pictures on the wall in the lobby. I thought they were fascinating.
Are family has benefited from 'Montana wheat' !!
Nice looking wheat field.
The first EVER homesteader in Montana was a WOMAN - in 1868 - tough girl!!
More filings for homesteaders in the Lewistown office than anywhere else in the state for 1914.
Go girls!!! Woman's roles are too often overlooked - it is good to see some credit given to them.
Our family would have been good at 'homesteading' ... glad we didn't have to do it, however!!
